About Dental Hygienist Guide

Greetings!

Welcome to my blog website. My name is Natalie Fritz and I am a registered dental hygienists in Texas, Florida, and California (yeah, I’ve moved around a bit).

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas in a Hispanic household with 4 other siblings. Fun times!

I got interested in dental hygiene through my younger brother when we were both in high school. He was looking to go into dentistry and was interested in becoming an orthodontist. But when he saw how long it was going to take he decided to look into other dental related professions and he discovered the world of dental hygiene.

While he was honing in on that profession I was exploring the possibility being a nurse, or a mortician, or maybe a train conductor, firefighter or mail courier. I was looking for something that didn’t take years and years of training or tons of money and that I would have work right away.

When we got to talking and he was telling me about dental hygiene I was hooked and I started taking the prerequisite classes that were needed. I eventually graduated from Houston Community College in 2012 and have been practicing ever since.

Although I’ve had a few stints at permanent offices my passion lies in temping or traveling as a dental hygienist to offices that need to substitute their own hygienist for the day or week. I enjoy the flexibility that schedule offers even if it means I need to adapt more to each different office I go to.

I am very excited to share my experience as a temp dental hygienist because, lets face it, temping comes with its own challenges. I hope the information and articles you find here will renew and reshape how you relate to temping.

Enjoy!
